Berg’s Prep and Paint was started and founded in 1991 by Peter Bergen. He set out to provide industrial and autobody painting services for the local market. This then grew to include sandblasting and painting of grain trailers. Berg’s also began repairing issues such as cracking and rusting on all makes and models of closed end trailers on the market at that time. Later on, when the open end units replaced the closed end units, Bergs was among the first to service those trailers in regards to paint failure and cracking issues. After servicing many other brands of trailers, Berg’s came to the point where they decided to start building their own trailers. They worked with drafters, engineers and paint companies to design a trailer that is stronger and lasts longer in the Canadian climate.
